North Shore Health Center, 1840 Green Bay Road, Highland Park, will hold a free Diabetes Prevention and Treatment Program from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. May 2. Included are client screening, referrals, outreach and community education on topics such as the basics of diabetes, nutrition and the importance of physical activity. Several free health screenings will be offered, such as diabetic retinopathy (vision), blood pressure and blood sugar. Sen. Susan Garrett and State Rep. Karen May will discuss diabetes from the state's perspective and a North Shore Health Center client will share his story about living with diabetes. In addition, George S.
