Apple Tree Theatre honored past-president of its board of directors, Lake Forest resident Robert "Bob" Wieseneck, at the 2009 spring gala Laughing Out Loud (LOL) on April 26 at Highland Park Country Club.

Hosted by celebrity Chicago TV personalities Mary Ann Childers and Jay Levine, the event featured entertainment by winner of After Dark Award for Best Cabaret Artist Rob Lindley, cabaret performer Beckie Menzie, and very special guest, Broadway star Ross Lehman.

Attendees included State Rep. Karen May of Highwood, State Sen. Susan Garrett of Lake Forest as well as corporate sponsors, theater lovers, Apple Tree Theatre performers and friends. With over 260 in attendance the event raised over $97,000.
