GARRETT AND MAY ANNOUNCE TOWN HALL MEETINGS WITH TREASURER GIANNOULIAS

HIGHWOOD, Illinois – State Senator Susan Garrett (D-Lake Forest) and State Rep. Karen May (D-Highland Park) will host three town hall meetings on Saturday, April 28:

  • 9:00 a.m. at Mocha Café, 742 Sheridan Road, Highwood
  • 11:00 a.m. at the Glencoe Public Library, 320 Park Avenue, Glencoe
  • 1:30 p.m. at the Deerfield Public Library, 920 N. Waukegan Avenue, Deerfield.

Garrett and May invite input from residents about local and state issues and will provide an update on bills under consideration during the spring legislative session.  State Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias will also participate in these meetings to give residents information about how the state is handling investments and financial programs.

“We are committed to open, efficient government, and holding town hall meetings is one of the best ways to ensure you know what our priorities are and you have a chance to share your views,” said Sen. Garrett. “Your feedback will help us shape our legislative agenda as we prepare for state budget negotiations in Springfield,” added Rep. May.

For more information about the meetings, please contact Garrett's office at (847) 433-2002 or May’s office at (847) 433-9100.
