GARRETT TO HOLD HEARING ON
COM ED POWER OUTAGES
HIGHWOOD, Illinois – State Senator Susan Garrett (D-Lake Forest) will hold a public hearing on Commonwealth Edison’s emergency response process on Tuesday, September 4, at 10:30 a.m. at the Des Plaines Public Library.
“The purpose is to ensure that we look at every aspect of strengthening ComEd’s response when we have regional power outages,” said Senator Garrett. “We need to understand how outage areas are prioritized, what resources ComEd is able to bring to bear in these situations, and how citizens can get access to accurate information.”
The hearing will be attended by municipal leaders, elected officials, and ComEd representatives, and is open to the public.
