Services Available to Residents of the 29th District

Our district office is staffed from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and offers a number of services for residents of the District.

General Inquiries

If you have a question or concern about a local issue that affects people in our district, please feel free to contact us. We are also happy to answer questions about state government or programs.

Scholarships

Through the General Assembly Scholarship Program, a limited number of tuition scholarships are available for students residing in the 29th District who plan to attend one of the Illinois state universities. Click here for complete instructions and selection criteria. The deadline to apply for the 2008-2009 school year has now passed; applications for 2009-2010 will be available in January 2009.

Lincoln Library and Museum

After years of planning, the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum is now open in Springfield. The 200,000-square-foot facility houses the Illinois State Historical Library, which has the largest collection of pre-presidential Abraham Lincoln material in the world.
